A Cowley Road Works Freewheeling Project in Association with Modern Art Oxford

 

Raise your voice and make your mark in a nationwide artwork designed to unite and inspire women and girls from all walks of life in a celebration of what it means to be a woman today!

FREEWHEELING artist Nicola Donovan has been leading workshops for local textile artists at Modern Art Oxford to collectively design and create a banner representing contemporary women and girls and to acknowledge the power of voting.

The banner will be exhibited as one of 100 banners created for PROCESSIONS, a vast participatory artwork which will take place in London on Sunday 10 June 2018, marking the centenary celebrations of women’s suffrage.

Freewheeling Friends are invited to drop into an open workshop at Modern Art Oxford on Saturday 2 June, 10am – 4pm, and make their contribution to this celebratory banner!

Details will also be made available about MAO coach transport from Oxford to London on 10 June on a first come first served basis.
